Pharmaceutical Website UX, Design & build. Help educate healthcare professionals on the use of Reagila (a drug used to support sufferers of schizophrenia).

Challenge

Help design and build a new website, finding a creative way to present new content on how HCPs can begin to treat schizophrenia, while aligning with compliance and local regulations.

Project Scope

HCP Enablement: UX, Content & Compliant Web Build

Industry

Healthcare, Pharmaceutical

Target Audience

Healthcare professionals (HCP)

Objective

To promote the use of Recordati’s new drug, Reagila, to help tackle schizophrenia by educating HCPs via an online website dedicated to the new product, with a patient-led approach.

Approach / Strategy

A key aspect of our bespoke approach to this project was finding a creative way to present the content to HCPs in a clear but engaging manner while aligning with compliance and local regulations. We partnered with a local artist who created paintings to depict how patients feel, adding a human and empathetic touch to the discussion around this chronic disorder. This approach resonated with both patients and HCPs.

We explored what it is like to live with the disorder, documented and shared clinical experiences, and highlighted the efficacy across multiple symptoms. Our aim was to convey the realities of living with schizophrenia by interviewing (through video) real people who live with the disorder.

The website captures an empathetic, informative, and compliant view of living with schizophrenia to help HCPs understand the disorder from the patient’s perspective and support them in providing the best possible healthcare treatment and planning.

Technical considerations

The website needed to be scalable, responsive, and enable the client to easily manage content updates while providing an intuitive user flow.

As part of the medical and pharmaceutical industry, Polar had to incorporate measures around SEO best practices, legal and compliance referencing, and a content approval workflow.

All these factors were considered throughout the build and rollout process.

Services / Deliverables

  • Technical design document
  • User experience (UX) and information architecture (IA)
  • Responsive design and animation
  • Front and backend development
  • Content management system integration

Results

Polar was able to evaluate the appropriate production strategy (in line with their budget and timeline) to support content co-creation, technical specifications, user experience, and flow. We implemented best-in-class website design and front and backend development, applying industry best practices at each step.

The healthcare community can now better understand the disorder and access key information to support their patients in a meaningful and empathetic way.

Conclusion

Polar built a unique website from scratch, understanding healthcare regulations and integrating a bespoke content management system for future optimisation.
